The development of your baby –
These are the last few weeks that the baby will be spending in your tummy so by now he has become rather familiar with your insides. The billions of neurons that are already very well developed in your baby’s brain are aiding him to learn more about the in-utero ambience. Your baby can now feel, listen and also see. Light can be detected by your baby’s eyes – the pupils of the baby’s eyes can dilate and constrict according to how it is meant to respond with the changing intensity of light. When your baby will be a new born you will notice that it does sleep a lot and experiences REM or the rapid eye movement which refers to the stage of sleep when most of the vivid dreams occur in an individual. Just like this will happen post delivery, it already starts occurring inside your stomach. The baby’s lungs are almost wholly matured though fat is still continuing to accumulate on your baby’s body so later it can provide it with warmth and heat. During the third semester which is the last few weeks before the child is born, babies gain most of their fat.
The development of your body –
Now you begin to realize that you are only about 2 months away from delivery and this might bring to your mind thoughts about the pain of labour which obviously might frighten you or at least get you anxious. The things that you would most want to know just now are the ways in which you can relieve yourself off the pain or maybe reduce it if nothing more. The most commonly used techniques to achieve relief from pain during labour and delivery are to practice the breathing exercises that are taught to you at the Lamaze classes, injecting pain relief drugs or epidurals where doctors will provide you with an anesthesia by placing a soft and thin catheter in your lower back. Whichever means of pain relief you choose to adopt, the more you know about them, the better informed you will be and the wiser decision you will make. Even though you are really not delivering your baby just now, there is no harm in discussing these things with your doctor already.
