The development of your baby –
God is now helping to add the last few touches to your baby to make him one of his other masterpieces. The eyelashes, hair and eyebrows are becoming more evident now. The lanugo hair which protected your baby from the start of the second trimester is now shedding though some of it still tends to stay intact on the back as well as the shoulders at the time of his birth. During the thirty second week your baby now weighs approximately 4 pounds and is at least 11 and a half inches in length from crown to rump. If your baby was to be delivered now, there would be absolutely no chances of it not surviving. But it would still need a little care to be taken of.
The development of your body –
During your prenatal visits to your health care provider, you would obviously be checked for a number of things – your blood pressure, condition of your urine, swellings that may have recently developed during this period would be monitored thoroughly. Symptoms such as excessive weight gain, swelling up of the face or the limbs, problems in eye sight or headaches could mean that you are suffering from preeclampsia. This problem tends to result in very high blood pressure as well as a lot of proteins in the urine. Let your doctor know of these symptoms as soon as you experience them as these symptoms can get frightening for both the mother and the child during the later stages of pregnancy if left neglected.
