The development of your baby –
This week no major changes take place. Your baby is growing and you should be experiencing your baby’s first few movements which are now rather aggressive considering his muscles have developed further and become much stronger than before. You will feel the first kicks and punches that will take your breath away both in surprise and shock. However if you do feel that your baby’s movements are not as much as they are meant to be, do consult your doctor after performing a fetal kick count – by this method, you check if your baby kicks at least 10 times in an hour. That is the normal rate. If it is more, your baby must be one hyper active kid and if it’s is lesser speak to your doctor as soon as possible.
The development of your body –
During pregnancy it is important that the supply of your red blood cell is replenished constantly. Try to consume at least 30 mg of iron a day. Iron deficiency is a natural phenomenon during pregnancy so you have to try and combat it in all ways that will ensure your body and your baby get the iron supply that they need. Because the deficiency of iron in a pregnant mother is a common affair you doctor might ask you to go in for a blood test that will gauge your iron level for you and accordingly you will be prescribed iron supplements. Eat healthy and live healthy for a healthy baby after a well groomed period of pregnancy.
