The development of your baby –
At the start of this week your baby will be weighing around 2.2 pounds and measuring up to 10 inches from crown to rump. During your next prenatal visit, your doctor should be making you aware about your baby’s breech position in the womb. The baby can be delivered head first or bottom first. In the first case a normal delivery is expected while in the second case a cesarean needs to be conducted. However, there are several other reasons as to why a normal delivery is preferred over a cesarean or vice versa. Even if your baby is in the breech position, it still has two months to change position and maybe then it would be more convenient to deliver the baby normally. Under normal circumstances most babies do change their position on their own. So do not worry right away. The folds and grooves in your baby’s brains are still developing just as how there is constant gain of fat and growth of hair in the baby’s body.

The development of your body –
During the earlier weeks of your pregnancy you were probably asked to go for a few tests by your medical guide. One of the chief components that are tested while conducting a blood test is the Rh factor which is a substance found in your red blood cells. Now if you do not have Rh in your blood which means if you are Rh negative but your baby has Rh in his blood thus making him Rh positive, there are increased chances of your baby being susceptible to major health problems. Your baby might be suffering from jaundice or anemia. However, your doctor could check and prevent this from happening by giving to you a vaccine known as Rh immune globulin, once at your twenty eight week and the next time after your delivery.
