Multiple Myeloma cancer: This cancer occurs in the white blood cells which are also called as plasma cells. This cancer cells attacks the white blood cells and destroys the body immune system.Multiple myeloma cancer cells can cause leukemia.

Multiple Myeloma cancer cells attacks the plasma cells (white blood cells) which makes antibodies, they are part of the immune system. Plasma cells protect the body from infection causing germs and harmful substance.
Myeloma cancer occurs in cells, these cells are the building blocks of tissues and organs. Basically these cells grow and divide into multiple cells and they die when they grow, and new cells take their place. But due to the attack of this cancer, the basic life cycle of the cells gets damage and began to grow rapidly without any controlling limit. These cells form a huge mass of tissue which is called as tumor. These abnormal cells which form mass tissue are  called as Myeloma cancer cells. Myeloma cancer cells make antibodies which are called as Proteins. Myeloma cancer cells collect in bone marrow which attacks normal cells. They also collect in the solid bone part. Myeloma cancer is also called as multiple Myeloma cancer because it affects the bone system in the body. The word Plasmacytoma is used when the Myeloma cancer cells attacks only one bone in the body. Multiple Myeloma cancer is the most common type of plasma cell tumor.

Causes for Myeloma cancer cells: Till now nobody knows the exact causes of Myeloma cancer, but the risk factors for Myeloma cancer were identified.

Risk factors for multiple Myeloma cancer cells
:
Age: Due to increase in age, there are more chances in increasing the risk factors for the occurrence of Myeloma cancer .
Race: Africa Americans and Asian Americans have more risk factors than any other race.
Personal history of cancer disease: People who have abnormal plasma cells with low level of M proteins (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) have more risk factors.

Symptoms and signs of Multiple Myeloma cancer cells:
• Weight loss
• Nausea and vomiting
• Urination problems
• Thirsty feelings
• Fatigue
• Back pain
• Weak immune system
• Frequent attack of fevers
• Increase in infections

These are the symptoms carried by the multiple myeloma cancer cells. If any of the symptoms stays for longer duration then consult the doctor for  the screening purpose.

Treatment methods of multiple myeloma cancer: Treatment process for this cancer depends on its stage and severity. Stem cell transplantation and radiation therapy are the two main methods for treating multiple myeloma cancer.

Stem cell transplantation: Stem cell transplantation is a useful process in treating the cancer cells by allowing the body to face high doses of radiation and anti-cancer drugs. These high doses will completely destroys both the cancer cells and normal cells in the bone marrow. After the complete destruction of the leukemia and normal cells by the radiation and chemotherapy, new cells are produced by the transplanted stem cells. These new cells replaces the destroyed cells during the treatment.

Stem cell transplantation is carried in the hospital and after the transplantation process, the patient should be in the hospital for several weeks or months for observation of stem cells production.

Stem cell is taken from three ways:
From you: Your old stem cell is removed and stored and after the treatment of radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The old stem cell is replaced for the production of new normal cells.

From family member: Stem cell from your family donor can be taken by checking out the blood group by the doctors. If the blood group matches then the stem cell transplantation can be done.

From your identical twin: You can take stem cells from your identical twin by suing syngeneic stem cell transplant.

Radiotherapy: This treatment is based on the extent of the bone cancer disease. Radiotherapy is a process of removing bone cancer cells by using high intensity x-rays. These high energy x-rays are aimed at the bone tumor to destroy the cancer cells .This process also causes damage to the normal bone cells for its side effects. There are two types of radiotherapy treatments they are.

External radiations: External radiation process is carried out from outside the body. The powerful x-ray beams are aimed at the effected part from outside the body and destroys the bone cancer causing cells permanently

Internal radiations: High intensity X-ray beams are passed into the body by making some small incisions in the effected part. This treatment gives better results than the external radiation therapy.

Multiple Myeloma cancer is the most common type of plasma cell tumor. Multiple myeloma cancer destroys the normal working nature of plasma cells .These plasma cells makes antibodies to protect from harmful infections and germs. Due to this cancer, broken bodes and severe back pain appears as the early sign of symptoms. Stem cell transplantation and radiation therapy are the only treatment methods for this cancer.
