Cancer is defined as the disorder in the life cycle of body cells. Cancer occurs due to the unusual growth of the body cells without controlling limit, Mobility of these uncontrolled cells from original state to distant state and destruction of adjacent body tissues by the spreading of uncontrolled body cells through blood or lymph are the characteristics of these cancer cells.
Cancer is a combination of several diseases with different types of causes, symptoms and treatments. Cancer is of many types, in which abnormal growth of cells is common factor in all of them. Cells are the basic unit of life, they grow and divide into more cells when the body requires them. These cells forms the tissues and then organs, they are the building blocks of the body system. If there is an abnormal growth and division of cells without any controlling limit, then it results in forming tumor (excess tissue) in the body.
Tumors are of two types, they are as follows:
• Benign tumor
• Malignant tumor
Benign tumor: This tumor is not cancerous. They can be treated easily. They don’t spread to other parts of the body.
Malignant tumor: This tumor is cancerous, they causes damage to the adjacent organs by spreading the cancer cells at high rate. The cells in this tumor invade the distant organs and forms new tumors through blood flow or by lymphatic system. The new tumor has the same characteristic features of the primary tumor. For example, if the brain cancer spreads to the lungs, the cancer cells in the lungs are actually belonging to the brain cancer cells. Then this disease is called as metastatic brain cancer.

The above mentioned names are the list of cancers came to existence as they were popularly reported cases. These cancers have the same characteristics of uncontrolled growth of cells rate and forming tumors by causing damage to the adjacent tissues. Many of the cancer disease can be cured in the early stages by going chemotherapy. Many of the cancer disease are inter-related to other due to the spreading of the cancer cells from original state to another state.
Cancer cells growth rate can be controlled by performing surgery and radiotherapy. All the cancer disease consists of similar symptoms and effects. the treatment will not be same due to age, body structure ,gender, daily activities and environmental conditions. Depending on these factors treatment process will be defined.
